The rate of unemployment among the youths in Nigeria has become so alarming, hence the need for a concerted effort to stem this tide became imperatives.
Empowering the youth to be self reliant became very important, this was the reason behind the management of SIFAX Group to partner with a non governmental organisation (NGO) Alimosho Youth Empowerment Forum (@ayefng2011) , to train unemployed youths in the Alimosho council area of Lagos state.
They youths trained for 5 weeks in various crafts such as make-up, shoe and bag making, hairdressing, catering, soap and insecticide production, barbing and baking, among others.
At the graduation ceremony, participants who distinguished themselves during the training period were given starter packs, containing basic equipment to start their businesses.
