Peterside to inugurates the blue economy coordinating group


The immediate past Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dakuku Peterside  will be inaugurating the Blue Economy Resources Nigeria Coordinating Group.
 
The inauguration which will be virtually on Zoom, on the 1st of July 2021 at 12 noon WAT. 

The Group is a private sector driven initiative out to bring the Blue Economy Advocacy to the front burner of government and the organized private sector.

The Group is Chaired by Hajia Lami Tumaka, (FNIPR) Ex-NIMASA Director, other members of the gruop are, HRH Alhaji Munir Ja’afaru, OFR, mni, (Mad akin Zazzau), EX Director General Nigerian Maritime Authority, Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN, Mr. Temisan Omatseye, EX Director General NIMASA, Commodore Daniel Atakpa (NN), Senator Grace Folashade Bent, CON, Mr. Ojiji Oniri Onya, Alhaji Dikko Tahir Bala, Chief Michael Onuoha and Suleiman Adama, serving as Secretary to the Group.

Members of the Group are expected to use their individual and collective wealth of experience, both in government and the corporate world to move the Blue Economy sector forward through the promotion of dialogue, strategic partnerships, capacity building in maritime policy/law, infrastructure development, community inclusiveness, environmental management and related challenges
